A student of the Department of Agriculture of the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (CANR) of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Mr. Boadi Yaw Jnr. has participated in a familiarisation tour organised by the Pukyong National University of South Korea under the Korean Government’s Invitational Programme aimed at educating students around the world and offering them the opportunity to know more about the Pukyong University and Korean Culture as a whole.
There were about fifty-eight students from twenty-five participating countries including Mr. Boadi and another Ghanaian student of the University of Ghana. Due to the sterling and industrious performance by the Ghanaian students-Mr. Boadi of KNUST and his colleague from University of Ghana, Ghana was awarded the Best Country for the 2012 Korean Government Invitational Programmes. All participating students were awarded Certificates of Participation by the Pukyong University.
Mr. Boadi said the level of sanitation in Korea is something that Ghana should try to emulate. He also observed that Koreans are equally as hospitable just as Ghanaians.
He was very appreciative of the opportunity offered him by the Pukyong University and KNUST to embark on this programme and hoped other students would get equal chances to learn from other cultures which will help in transforming the nation.
